We take pride in creating and maintaining beautiful and healthy smiles for our younger patients in an environment that is lighthearted and fun. We focus on establishing oral health habits that last a lifetime, with education and prevention as our primary tools.
HOW EARLY SHOULD MY CHILD SEE THE DENTIST?
Being proactive with your child’s dental health can help keep major dental problems from occurring as your children grow older. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child’s first visit to the dentist by one year old. But you may take your child in as soon as teeth begin to show. The benefits of forming good oral hygiene habits while still young are great. Parents should help with the brushing and flossing of their child’s teeth until they are able to properly do it on their own.
Maintaining regular dental visits while your child is still young will allow our staff and Dr. Dixon to develop a trusting relationship with your child. This will also help Dr. Dixon to become familiar with your child’s needs and address any problems that develop along the way.
